Acrylic underpainting with oil on top!
 
I’ve never actually had a dream of heaven, but if I made a really good guess, I’d say it’s probably full of color!
 
This painting started out with loose, expressive paint strokes in acrylic. Once that was completely dry, I layered deliberate strokes of oil paint on top to add the juicy color and texture that is unique to oil painting. I named it "Dream of Heaven" because this is how my imagination views Heaven...full of color, ethereal, and just drop dead gorgeous.
